Vollmer yet to make his debut with the Patriots
The German placer, Sebastian Vollmer, has still not made his grand debut with the New England Patriots.
Vollmer is the first player of German or even European origin that has been selected in the 2009 Draft.
Many thought that Vollmer would have the opportunity to play this season, but that seems unlikely. It seems as if he isn’t being taken into consideration by his coaches and coordinators, seeing as how he hasn’t played even for a minute.
The offensive lineman created quite a stir up in the international media upon becoming the first European to be selected in the draft for the single most important professional league in football, the NFL.
Knowing the NFL and how the technicians and coaches work the games, they make the necessary tests for a player before facing the regular season. It seems that the only opportunity Vollmer is going to have to see football action in the NFL will be for a starting player to get injured.
Until now, Vollmer is the best football player around who has hailed from the European continent, but that doesn’t mean that he’s prepared to face the reality of the NFL and to have playing time in a team with as high a reputation as the New England Patriots.
