Skins Looking for Payback vs. Rams
The Redskins got kicked in the stomach last week by their division rival Giants in week one and nothing will make them feel better about themselves than beating the tar out of the hapless Rams.
By favoring the Skins by 10 points at home, the NFL football odds makers are being much too kind to the Rams. Any team that can be beaten 28-0 by the toothless Seattle Chickenhawks should be a mandatory 15-point underdog in any NFL odds scenario (save against the Lions).
There are few things to like about the Rams if you’re a St Louis fan, aside from fantasy stud Steven Jackson and the fact that the team is rumored to be shipping to jolly ole’ England. The team has no offensive line, an over-the-hill QB and almost no talent on offense. Its defense has no talent.
That is not a very effective recipe for success in the football odds.
The Rams opponent, Washington, is a team that is going to be looking for some payback. And it will get it. At home in front of the Skins’ rabid fans things could get very ugly. That 28-0 drubbing could even seem like a sweet dream.
The Skins play rough football and their defense is punishing. On offense they’ll pound the ball down the Rams throats and look to get in the end zone using the long ball. If you’re one of the three dozen Rams fans on the planet this does not end well.
Pick the Skins to cover the spread by a country mile.
