Saints Take Show on the Road to Miami
The New Orleans Saints are on top of the NFL football odds after knocking off the undefeated Giants.
They have to be considered the best team in the NFL until someone knocks them off the perch, and that someone could very well be the Miami Dolphins. When the New Orleans Saints go to Miami they will face a very interesting challenge. Forget that the Dolphins are just 2-3. You can throw the team’s NFL football odds record out the window as the squad is notoriously slow starting.
But what the Saints should take note of is the Dolphins’ unorthodox offense. The Wild Cat has been called every name in the book and most teams in the NFL odds view it as nothing more than a gimmick. And for most teams that all it is, but for the Dolphins it’s religion and they are highly invested in it.
The Saints defense has been a revelation this season and has proven that it can shut down any offense in football odds. But it’s yet to face the two-headed monster of Ronnie Brown and Ricky Williams. Chad Henne is also coming into his own at QB and was nearly perfect in his second start of the season.
The other advantage for the Dolphins is that the Wild Cat eats away the clock which is the best defense against a talented passer like Drew Brees. The team used this strategy against the Colts and Peyton Manning earlier in the year and it nearly paid off. The Dolphins are much improved since then and have a very good shot at an upset.
The Saints are favored by 6½ points in the football odds but the Dolphins should make a game of it.
