Jets Looking to Right the Ship against the Hapless Raiders
There is plenty of good NFL football odds news in Oakland these days. Their head coach will not be arrested for assault and battery and the team has strung together its longest win streak of the year at one game.
In New York the picture isn’t quite so rosy. The Jets have dropped three in a row and the rookie QB Mark Shanchez has been perfecting his Jake Delhomme impression tossing 8 INTs in his last three NFL football odds games (5 alone in week 6).
But the good news in the Big Apple this week is that the Jets will play the Raiders in the NFL odds. And that is the perfect medicine for rookie QB struggling with confidence and execution issues.
The Jets are favored by six on the road and should cover that spread. They are simply a much better team than the Raiders and the blitz crazy defense should make JeMarcus Russell look like the terrible QB that he is.
Coach Ryan’s defense has come under fire for producing only a very weak 5 sacks in the NFL odds competition this year but nearly every time a QB drops back he’s getting hit. That’s the right recipe for making Russell look bad.
After a very good and very surprising win over the Eagles last week some fans might be fooled into thinking the Raiders are finally on the right track. But a much more likely scenario is that the Raiders will relapse back into an awful performance on Sunday. Good teams build on their success but the Raiders are from being a good team. Jets win and cover the spread.
