Chiefs Looking to Extend Win Streak to Two vs. Chargers

Chiefs Looking to Extend Win Streak to Two vs. ChargersThe monkey is off rookie head coach Todd Haley’s back into the NFL football odds. He finally got that elusive first win of the season on his sixth try.

Now the real challenge will be stringing together two of those precious entities and creating a win streak. He’ll have just such an opportunity this week when the reeling Chiefs come to town and by most indications he will fail.

The Chiefs are a rotten team. But the team’s short-comings in the NFL football odds can hardly be pinned on Haley or new operations guru Scott Pioli, they didn’t create this mess, they’ve just been brought in to clean it up.

And the biggest problem facing them is the team’s lack of talent and coaching can only go so far in resolving that NFL odds issue.

The Chargers on the other hand have a wealth of talent and they have done a very good job of squandering it in the football odds during Norv Turner’s tenure in San Diego. This year is no different and at 3-3 this team’s playoff hopes grow dimmer by the second, which must be heartbreaking for Chargers fans considering the team’s collective talent.

After being knocked off again on Monday night by the division leading Broncos this team will likely respond with a win at Arrowhead. The odds makers give them a slim 4 ½ points and they should be able to cover.

KC fans are raucous and love their struggling chiefs but the team’s offense is horrible (16 points a game) and the defense is rotten (giving up 24 points a game). You do the math.

Bolts get back over .500 with a win in KC.
