Brett Favre is going back to his roots

Brett Favre is going back to his rootsNFL football odds handicappers believe that just like Gabe Kotter, Brett Favre is going back to his roots.  But unlike Mr. Kotter he won’t have a catchy theme song, sweat hogs, or any love from the locals in his homecoming.

When the Packers host the Vikings on Sunday afternoon it could very well be the most hostile NFL odds crowd that Favre has ever played in front of.

It’s hard to say, the Lambeau fans tend to be a courteous bunch and by most accounts rarely boo any opponent.  But as everyone on the planet earth has heard by now, they’ve never hosted an opponent so near to their hearts as Favre.

But sentimental junk aside this is a great NFL football odds match up between two very good football teams in game that could very well decide the NFC North NFL football odds title.

The Vikes got the better of the Pack in a squeaker in the Metro Dome earlier in the season.  This will be a frigid affair which shouldn’t affect Favre any but could be a slight hindrance for his skill players; although anyone who saw them in action in the freezing game in Pittsburgh should have few concerns. The Vike’s blitz should once again feast on an inconsistent Packers O-line and QB Aaron Rogers must be on his knees praying that the O-coordinator can game plan a way to keep him off the turf.

But even though the Vikes have been the talk of the division (if not all the entire NFL odds) the Packers need take a backseat to no one in this division. The football odds list Green Bay as a deserving 3-point favorite.  This is one of the rare cases where home field really will be the difference and because of the game’s location the nod goes to the host Packers.
