Bills Head to Jacksonville for another Loss

Rams Cowboys FootballIs there anyone left in Buffalo who is still excited by the signing of Terrell Owens in the NFL football odds offseason? Probably not after Sunday’s sideline meltdown and another terrible performance against Tennessee.

Owens hasn’t caught a TD pass –or much of anything except negative public sentiment- in the past seven weeks and that’s likely to continue in Jacksonville.

Buffalo has plenty of problems and TO is just one them. He drops too many balls, for sure, but QB Trent Edwards has proven over the first nine games of the NFL football odds season that he isn’t good enough to be a starter in the league. His NFL odds numbers have been atrocious and the offense has been moribund.

The Jags got off to a slow start themselves but have quietly gotten back into the positive side of the football odds win column and at 5-4 are right in the thick of the AFC wildcard hunt.

QB David Garrard has settled in and is playing much smarter and much more effective football than he did during the first month of the season. But the real reason for the Jags emergence in the NFL odds is the play of RB Maurice Jones-Drew and the running game. He’s averaging 5.1 ypc and leads the league with 12 rushing TDs.

If Jacksonville can climb to 6-4 and the defense continues to solidify this squad has a good shot at the post season and incentive to keep winning. The Bills have no such incentive.

The host team is favored by 8½ points in the football odds and every statistical indication would seem to lead to a Jags win and another Buffalo loss.
