To all the pundits who were so certain that the New England Patriots would waltz their way back to the NFL football odds for the Super Bowl this season: YOU WERE WRONG! After two games the Pats are lucky to be 1-1 and could very likely drop to 1-2 after their match up with a very strong Falcons squad.
The early NFL football odds list the Pats as four point favorites at home. It’s tough for a visiting team to get a win at Foxboro, just ask the Bills. But the Pats mystique has worn off and teams all around the league have seen the team’s vulnerability.
The pass rush has been a nightmare for Tom Brady who has been beaten up is still seeing Jets defenders in his nightmares. The O-line has been a huge weakness for the New English and that was against two moderate defensive units. If Wes Welker sits again in week 3 things will be very bad for Brady.
The Falcons actually have one of the best pass rushes in football and John Abrams is licking his chops at the prospect of a Brady sandwich. Read more…
The Redskins got kicked in the stomach last week by their division rival Giants in week one and nothing will make them feel better about themselves than beating the tar out of the hapless Rams.
By favoring the Skins by 10 points at home, the NFL football odds makers are being much too kind to the Rams. Any team that can be beaten 28-0 by the toothless Seattle Chickenhawks should be a mandatory 15-point underdog in any NFL odds scenario (save against the Lions).
There are few things to like about the Rams if you’re a St Louis fan, aside from fantasy stud Steven Jackson and the fact that the team is rumored to be shipping to jolly ole’ England. The team has no offensive line, an over-the-hill QB and almost no talent on offense. Its defense has no talent. Read more…

The German placer, Sebastian Vollmer, has still not made his grand debut with the New England Patriots.
Vollmer is the first player of German or even European origin that has been selected in the 2009 Draft.
Many thought that Vollmer would have the opportunity to play this season, but that seems unlikely. It seems as if he isn’t being taken into consideration by his coaches and coordinators, seeing as how he hasn’t played even for a minute. Read more…
Last football season, the Baltimore Ravens and the Atlanta Falcons got to the playoffs with a combination of a rookie coach and a rookie quarterback. This year, three other teams will try to follow in their footsteps: the Lions, the Jets, and the Buccaneers.
Last season of NFL betting, the Baltimore Ravens and the Atlanta Falcons surprised thousands of fans by lasting deep into the postseason after a formula that usually doesn’t bring about immediate results: a rookie for a quarterback and a rookie coach.
This NFL betting season, three teams could copy their innovative method: the Detroit Lions, the New York Jets, and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
The Atlanta Falcons were missing a leader for their offense after the famous Michael Vick was incarcerated leaving the Falcons to only win 4 games in all of 2007. The chosen one was Matt Ryan, who they selected 3rd in the draft. As a coach, they bet on the Jaguar defensive coordinator, Mike Smith. Read more…
