Redskins at Raiders

December 11th, 2009 J. Corens No comments

Redskins at RaidersIn NFL football odds these are two once proud franchises that been severely humbled over the past decade.  The Raiders have consistently been among the worst three teams in the league in the new millennium and the Redskins have fallen to lowest point in franchise history.  On that happy note, let the games begin!

The Skins (3-9) enter this game as 1 point favorites in the NFL football odds.  Not much a cushion and more or less a wash. The Raiders (4-8) have the advantage of playing at home in front of the deranged Raider Nation, a more obnoxious and weird group of humanity voluntarily gathered in one place you will not find.

Colts gunning for 22nd straight win vs. Broncos

Colts gunning for 22nd straight win vs. BroncosThis is an interesting matchup for a number of reasons, not the least of which it’s one of the rare occasions in the NFL where fans will see horse-on-horse action.  This equine-infused contest will be a chance for Peyton Manning and his men to set an NFL mark for most consecutive regular season wins at 22.

With QB Ben Roethlisberger’s status unknown the betting line on this game will be up in the air.   If Big Ben is unable to play second-year man Dennis Dixon, coming off his first career NFL start, will get the game duties again versus the Raiders. Dixon was adequate –no Big Ben- in the Steelers recent loss to the Ravens. Read more…

November 16th, 2009 J. Corens No comments

Rams Cowboys FootballIs there anyone left in Buffalo who is still excited by the signing of Terrell Owens in the NFL football odds offseason? Probably not after Sunday’s sideline meltdown and another terrible performance against Tennessee.

Owens hasn’t caught a TD pass –or much of anything except negative public sentiment- in the past seven weeks and that’s likely to continue in Jacksonville. Read more…

Bucs Look to Keep Winning Streak Alive at Dolphins

Bucs Look to Keep Winning Streak Alive at DolphinsThe Tampa Bay Bucs are in the midst of their longest winning NFL football odds streak in 12 games. That streak is all of one game, but at least it’s a start.

The Bucs have been terrible this year but with its first win of the season coming in week nine and rookie QB Josh Freeman showing a glimpse of promise, spirits are high. Too bad the one-game win streak will come to an end this week in Miami.

The Dolphins are a good football team that just can’t get a break in the NFL football odds schedule.

After enjoying the easiest schedule in the league last year, the team has been paid back with the hardest schedule in the NFL odds this season and the team’s 3-5 record is just as much a product of superior competition as it is poor play. Read more…
