Controversy in the New Cowboys Stadium

August 27th, 2009 No comments

Controversy in the New Cowboys StadiumThroughout the United States, the New York Yankees and the Dallas Cowboys are symbols of tradition, champions, and money.

These two American giants don’t only have this in common. They both also moved to new and much more spectacular stadiums. But the most striking similarity between these two stadiums that both cost over one billion dollars each, is that they are both facing criticism and questioning concerning structural errors.

The Yankees realized that the amount of homeruns in their new stadium increased dramatically. The reason for this, as outlined by AccuWeather back in June, was that the shape and height of the right field wall allowed for more home runs. 20% of the home runs scored would not have been home runs in the old stadium. The NFL Unfollows Twitter

notwitterMany NFL teams don’t want their players to use Twitter, and some teams have even taken measures to keep their players and personnel away from the popular social network.

This means of reading what players and personnel have to say can be beneficial for NFL betting, as it can give bettors an insight into the team’s capabilities, but that same information can be seen by others who may not use it in the same manner.

Wagering on Football Money Lines

NFLWhat is a Money Line?

A money line is a type of wager that doesn’t have a spread to cover. You wager on who you think will win the game or event straight up. It doesn’t matter if it’s the favorite or the underdog.

Money lines are based on a $100 parameter. You will risk more to win less on the favorite and risk less to win more on the underdog. On certain games you may see an even (ev) wager, this means that you win the same amount that you risked.

Money lines are based on bets of $100. If you bet on the favorite, you will put more money on the line in order to win what you bet, but if you bet on the underdog, you will win back more than your bet. Sometimes you might see an even (EV) wager. With these wagers you win back what you bet (minus the vig/juice, of course).
